Tutti i miei prodotti della ricercaTemi di ricerca
I am Gabriella Esposito, an industrial engineer by training with a Master’s degree from the University of Naples Federico II (2013). After several years of working as a Project Manager in multinational companies across the food, automation, packaging, and pharmaceutical sectors, I shifted my focus towards sustainability and innovation in urban development. To strengthen my expertise, I pursued a Master’s in Fundraising Management for National and International Cooperation (2018) and a Master’s in EU Project Management (2019), specialising in project development and European funding strategies.
Since 2023, I have been a PhD candidate in Business and Management at the University of Turin and Tallinn University of Technology, where I research smart cities, grassroots innovation, and community-led projects. My work explores how bottom-up innovation and collaborative governance can contribute to sustainable and resilient urban futures, focusing on stakeholder engagement, digital transformation, and policy frameworks. I have contributed to research on governance models for urban regeneration, knowledge co-creation in cities, and the intersection of sustainability and entrepreneurship.
My research has been published in leading internationally ranked journals, addressing key issues such as policy development for grassroots initiatives and theoretical advancements in urban governance. I have also presented my findings at major international conferences, including EUROMED, IFKAD, AIDEA, R&D ACIEK, ICEM, and ITAIS. Additionally, I have been able to conduct research as a visiting researcher at the University of Napier in the UK.
I am particularly interested in participatory urban governance, civic innovation, and technology integration in sustainable city development. I aim to bridge the gap between academic research and practical applications, contributing to advancing inclusive, circular, and climate-resilient urban models.
